GLOBAL VILLAGE FILM FESTIVAL 2012 BROCHURE
|
|
Welcome to the 2012 Global Village Film Festival. With 24 film screenings in 31 days, the festival this year features its biggest programme yet.
The festival gets underway with an intense four days featuring cinema from across the world as well as post-show discussions and live performance. Wiltshire-born artist and filmmaker Lou Hamilton presents her documentary film Call of the Maestro as well as her exhibition which focuses on Connecting Cultures, the theme of this year's film festival.
A number of films in this year's festival are part of Screen Me, an initiative delivered by White Horse Pictures in partnership with Wiltshire Council and Pound Arts. This project, funded by Creative England, will present a series of films that explore themes of journeys and the ways that different cultures tell stories in cinema. Click here to view the listings and booking information for Screen Me
The festival's Rural Arts Wiltshire screenings will take cinema further afield and bring films into the heart of five villages in North Wiltshire - click here to view the listings
Don't forget that you can book online fee-free for all the films in this year's festival (excludes films at Assembly Hall, Melksham).
The Team at Pound Arts and White Horse Pictures looks forward to welcoming you to one or more of the screenings in this month long celebration of film.
