Debussy Premiere Rhapsodie
Brahms Clarinet Sonata in E flat
Ireland Fantasy Sonata
Clarinettist Max Welford graduated from the Royal Academy of Music in 2012 and now enjoys an increasingly diverse performing life, which over the next year will take him to Singapore, Canada and France, and will see him appear as a soloist at the Cadogan Hall and with the University of London Symphony Orchestra. Today’s programme contrasts rich-textured music by Brahms with lyrical English music by John Ireland and Debussy’s dreamlike Premiere Rhapsodie.
